Aberdeen Grammar F.P.R.F.C.
The Club was founded in 1893. The use of the current ground, Rubislaw, was granted to the former pupils in 1914 and has provided the School and the FP Club with excellent facilities over the years.

Dundee HSFP RFC
The fledgling 'High School Football Club' was born into a very healthy Tayside rugby environment alongside teams now long consigned to history such as Abertay, Red Cross, Cliftonbank, Arbroath Fiery Cross, Forfar Rob Roy, Dundee Rangers and Dundee Swifts. The young FP's secured a deal with local farmer, John Johnston (pictured) of Balgray Farm for the use of a field as the club's home pitch.

Edinburgh Academicals
The Edinburgh Academical Football Club, formed in 1857/8, is the oldest rugby club in Scotland, the second oldest in the World and one of the founding members of the Scottish Rugby Union. The Club’s name omits the word “Rugby” as it predates the division between the Association and Rugby codes of football, which took place in the 1860s.

Hamilton Rugby Club
On June 29th 1927 a birth occurred. At a meeting of Dalziel HSFP it was proposed to form a new rugby club with the prime intent of providing opposition. Thus Hamilton Academy FP rugby club came into being. The connection with the school now called Hamilton Grammar continued to be strong until 1978 when the influence of the school lessened although even today in 2005 many members are past pupils.

Hawick Rugby Club
Members of Hawick and Wilton Cricket Club met in October 1872 and decided that they should encourage their members to play football during the winter to keep fit. Some experimentation with rules took place over the next few months, with advocates of both association and rugby union football.

Jed-Forest RFC
Although Jed-forest RFC was officially formed as a club in 1885 at a meeting in the towns Royal Hotel, it did not mark the start of rugby in Jedburgh. It was two years earlier, on 1st December 1883, that a team from Kelso came to the town, aiming to show the Jed local youths how to play the game.

Melrose Rugby Club
The Melrose Club was founded in 1877, and was elected to full membership of the Scottish Rugby Union in 1880. In the early years the club's achievements were fairly modest. Their first Border League success came in 1910-11 and their second in 1938-39. Since the Second World War, however, Melrose have remained among Scotland's leading clubs.
